Your Portrait

Since I was born, I’ve always felt different. I never liked what they liked, never got bored by what bothered them. I tried to blend in, to act and dream like everyone else, but I couldn’t — pretending never felt right. I was shy, tired of explaining my thoughts, my view of life, my own philosophy. Most of the time, I felt alone. But there was one thing that kept me alive — music. For me, music is like water; I simply can’t live without it. It’s not a hobby or a job — it’s everything. It consumes me, defines me, heals me. My life has seen its share of chaos, loss, and failure, but the moment I discovered rock ’n’ roll, everything changed. I spent hours listening, playing my guitar, putting everything I had into sound — and that’s when I finally felt like a winner. Like I had found something powerful enough to cure the pain of existence.

Biography

Hey, my name is Slim Ben Aicha, but you can just call me Slim. I was born in Tunisia, a small country in North Africa, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. It’s not the most famous place, but it carries over 3,000 years of history — once home to the great Carthaginian Empire. Since I was a kid, I’ve always had a deep connection with music. By the age of 12, I made the decision to dedicate my entire life to it — my dream, my purpose. That’s when I picked up the guitar and fell in love with its world of chords, scales, and modes. At 17, I began performing and composing with local bands, exploring genres like blues, rock, folk, and metal. The road wasn’t easy — with each passing year, some of the people who shared my dream drifted away. But instead of giving up, I went deeper: studying music theory, learning the roots of blues, the complexity of jazz and ragtime, and pushing myself through intricate metal compositions. I worked as a session guitarist for several Tunisian bands, busked on the streets, and started composing my own songs. Along the way, I trained my voice with well-known opera singers such as Hassen Doss, Lilia Bel Sheikh, and Hatem Nasri — who became a close friend and a lasting influence. With the rise of the internet, my music reached far beyond my country. Through freelance platforms, I began collaborating with artists and bands from around the world, producing music across countless genres — from nursery rhymes and pop to rock, blues, jazz, Arabic music, orchestral, and metal. Between 2022 and 2024, I produced more than 200 full songs, helping artists from the USA, Canada, Chile, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Egypt, Singapore, the Philippines, Iceland, Australia, Tunisia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, Vietnam, and many more. Music has taken me on a long, beautiful journey — one built on passion, perseverance, and endless curiosity. Welcome to my world. Let’s bring your ideas to life — and make them sound alive.
